Are you excited for our 2014 Brewmaster’s Reserve? Here’s a little information on our series for this year as well as our first release.
    Brewmaster’s Reserve Series

(Single Malt and Single Hop)

For our 2014 Brewmaster’s Reserve releases we are challenging our Brewers and consumers pallets by releasing a series of beers that use only one single hop variety and one malt variety, referred to in the brewing community as a SMASH beer. Each beer will feature a one of a kind or limited variety of hop and barley malt used in off the wall ways to create a one of kind experience! First up, Introducing:

           Tom’s Smashing Blonde Ale

Smash Series #1- Smash stands for Single Malt and Single Hop. This American Blonde Ale features domestic floor malted pilsner malt for a smooth grain flavor. A new American hop, Belma, provides a mellow, fruity hop character. A touch of dry hopping allows the unique hop character to shine, alongside the subtle grain quality of the malt!

Availability: 6-packs, draft 1/6bbls

Malt used: Rahr Old World Pilsner malt- A floor malted Moravian malt 37, slightly less modified continental style 2 row barley.

Hop used: Belma-  A very clean hop, with a very orange, slight grapefruit, tropical (but not mango/guava, more like pineapple), strawberry, and melon.

Alcohol by volume- 5.7% ABV

Bitterness-  28 IBU’s

Color- 3.9 SRM (Sight Rate of Measurement)
