National Homebrew Day Celebration

As some of you may know, we at Rivertown are proud to be hosting the hombrewing community this Saturday, for National Homebrew Day!  It’s something we do every year, and we enjoy it like nothing else.  This year will be a huge event, with tons of brewing happening.  With an event this size, there are bound to be questions about what’s happening; so here is a breakdown of what’s happening this Saturday!

Official Recipes:  The recipes this year are a British Dark Mild, a Classic American Pilsner, and a Belgian Blonde.  You can find them here.

What we are providing:  Anyone who brews on site will be able to use hot, treated water from the brewery, as well as our house yeast strain.

Specials:  Any member of the local homebrew clubs, or AHA members with their cards, will be entitled to special discount tap room pricing.  You must provide a valid ID, as well as proof of membership.  A valid ID will be required to drink at the event, no matter what.  Anyone wishing to be a designated driver will be given a marked wristband, entitling you to free non alcoholic beverages for the event.  We will also be tapping our new session IPA, Lil’ SIPA.

Food:  Dino’s Guerilla Grill will be onsite for the first half of the day, serving up complimentary food while supplies last.  Catch a Fire pizza will be on site after 3pm.

Supplies:  Both Listermann Brewing and Brewmonkey will be on site to show off their wares and talk to you about the hobby.  As far as getting supplies go, the local homebrew stores are our recommended sources.  They are all stocked up, and open even during the event if you can’t swing through during the week.

Timing:  The first brewers will be setting up between 9am and 10 am.  We will be start serving beer at noon, and the event special will run until 6pm.

Please contact the brewery with any further questions, and we look forward to seeing you this weekend!
